A private, lockable changing room is available onboard for changing before and after your experience. Due to limited storage space, we recommend bringing only essential items in a small, closable bag. Your bag can be left on the bench seat or hung on the robe hooks beside the staircase. We kindly ask you to remove any glasses or hanging jewellery before entering the sauna to prevent damage or discomfort due to high temperatures experienced in the sauna.
Kuuma operates a traditional wood-fired sauna, maintained within a temperature range that provides a comfortable, consistent and immersive experience for all guests.
Rather than focusing on extreme temperatures, our sauna is designed around the balance of heat, steam (löyly) and airflow. This creates a deeper, more enveloping warmth that builds gradually and allows guests to enjoy the experience safely and comfortably.
Temperature may vary slightly throughout the session depending on use and guest interaction with the heater.
Guests are encouraged to use water on the stones in moderation, as this enhances the experience for everyone in the sauna.
You can stay in the sauna for as long as you feel comfortable. Everyone’s tolerance for heat is different, so listen to your body and take breaks as needed.
Your well-being is our priority, and the skipper/sauna master will be on board to guide you, answer questions, and ensure you have a safe and enjoyable experience.
