About the Experience

WHEN: Every Saturday night (May through to August) after sunset DEPARTING FROM: Margate Marina DURATION: 90-minutes SESSION TYPE: Communal, shared with other guests, or private when all 6 spots are booked CAPACITY: Strictly up to 6 people AGE: 18+ INCLUDED: A towel is provided WHAT TO BRING: Bathers + water bottle + spare towel* *A towel is provided, though we recommend bringing an extra one to dry off at the end of your session. WHAT TO WEAR: Warm comfortable clothes Step aboard for a nocturnal sauna escape this winter. As night settles over North West Bay, let the warmth of the floating wood-fired sauna draw you in. Limited to just six guests (18+), this intimate Off Season experience unfolds under the quiet of the Tasmanian winter night. While the vessel drifts through the darkness, melt into the heat, cool off with a bracing dip beneath the stars and sip peppermint tea as you return to the glow. During your Kuuma sauna experience, you will cruise to a quiet bay, warming up in the sauna along the way. Once moored, the skipper/sauna master will open the gate, transforming the boat into a swimming platform. After everything is secure, you are encouraged to take a leap and jump into the cold water (Average: 9º in Winter). If the jump feels a bit too intense, we also offer a more playful alternative: the trusty Kuuma shower bucket. Simply pull the cord gently and let the cold water cascade over you. While it may not be as dramatic as the jump, it is still a refreshing and fun way to cool down. Feel free to repeat this ritual as many times as you like until the gate is closed, which signals the return to the marina. During the cruise back, you are welcome to continue the sauna ritual and use the shower bucket for cooling. NOTES: • This service is weather-dependent. If conditions make it unsafe to cruise outside the marina, alternative options will be provided. • Alcohol is strictly prohibited on board and within marina premises.
